Together: Our vision for partnership to get more parents and babies outdoors
Walking offers myriad physical, mental, emotional, social and societal benefits.
Parents facing personal & structural challenges stand to gain much from being outdoors - together.
But getting out of the front door with a baby is hard.
How can people who work with parents support them to get outside?
We have some ideas!
We want walking groups to be part of the perinatal health and social care landscape - will you help us?
Thank you to The University of York
The School for Business & Society at the University of York has supported Blaze Trails CIC to explore partnership development and conduct a process and impact evaluation.
This Vision document was funded through a small grant from the 2023 School for Business & Society Internal Funding for Research Impact Activities. The fund aims to create real world change by creating and sharing new knowledge and innovation through partnerships between the University and non-academic organisations.
Blaze Trails CIC is extremely grateful for the support of Dr. Ruth Naughton-Doe and her colleagues.
Partnerships of this kind really do result in real-life impact for small organisations like ours.
